Sukhmani Bhatia

Therapist

Sukhmani works with adults between the ages of 18 and 50, bringing a warm, flexible, and client-centred approach to therapy. Her practice is shaped by a set of core values that keep therapy grounded and relatable. She believes in holding space for whatever emerges in a session, allowing conversations to unfold based on

what the client brings that day, whether it's a major event or a fleeting thought.

As a feminist, Sukhmani is committed to understanding and supporting the unique challenges that women face. She provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore issues such as self-esteem, body image, gendered expectations, societal pressures, and navigating personal identity in a world that often demands

conformity. Sukhmani actively works with women who are grappling with empowerment, self-advocacy, and balancing personal and societal expectations.

She doesn’t reduce people to labels; instead, she focuses on understanding the whole person - their story, environment, and experience - because 'healing' comes when every part of a person is seen and understood. She also acknowledges that mental health doesn’t exist in a vacuum, and external factors like systemic

oppression and generational trauma can impact well-being. She actively works through these realities with clients and advocates for broader change. While she values clear focus and intention in her sessions, she also leaves room for spontaneity, understanding that healing can come from unexpected moments.

Outside of her therapeutic work, Sukhmani is engaged in the mental health and psychology space. She continually seeks new knowledge and tools to be a better therapist for her clients. Her dog, Mynt, might make a surprise appearance during sessions, adding a little extra joy (or distraction, depending on the day!).
